Ashot Tumaghyan

Ashot Tumaghyan is a Materials Science & Engineering PhD student with a primary research focus on the manufacturing of graded refractory materials for fusion applications and the fundamental understanding of dislocation behavior in high-temperature, thermal cycling environments. Ashot received his Bachelor of Science in Materials Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin (’26). Outside of academia, Ashot has numerous hobbies revolving around tinkering and innovating.
