Matthew joined the ADD Lab in 2023 as a Materials Science and Engineering PhD student. His work focuses on alloy design and additive manufacturing of refractory high-entropy alloys for plasma-facing components and other extreme environments. Matthew earned his B.S. in Nanoengineering at the University of California, San Diego, where his undergraduate research centered on steady-state high plasma flux/fluence exposure on tungsten and tungsten-based high-entropy alloys.
