Charles Adkins (Charlie) is a mechanical engineering PhD student with a primary research interest in materials characterization and dislocation substructure evolution. His primary work is investigating the evolution of dislocation densities and cell structures, both in deformed materials and during additive manufacturing processes. Charlie has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University, and worked as a CNC manufacturing engineer prior to joining the ADD Lab.
